Make You New is one of the few songs I have written with an idea in mind. A couple years back my mother was going through a very difficult season having lost her husband, my step-father Bruce. It was her that I had in mind for the person being sung to in this song. Its a song from Jesus to one of His beloved. He promises to avenge all things stolen and to restore them unto His flock. This is a loose idea taken from the book of Joel. Yeshua meets us in our mourning and brokenness to speak kindness over us. In fact, He is taking things a step beyond restoration and actually making everything new just as we are a new creation in Messiah. Let it speak to you. I want the voice of the Good Shepherd to come through in this composition for all who take a listen.
